Escaping Calamities

Last Thursday, Pastor Rekha spoke about how we can escape calamities even though we have many tragic situations happening all around us. The News is full of different stories of tragic situations everyday. But, in the midst of all this, God's Word shows us we can be protected.

From the Word, Pastor Rekha showed us that Jesus not only spoke of many signs of the latter days – such as, nations fighting against nations and different calamities in different parts of the world, but also how we can be prepared to face calamities boldly. We saw from the Word of God the different calamities that different people in the Bible faced and how they withstood it. From this we learnt that though calamities may strike, we have a way out if we truly repent –i.e. change our thinking and think like the Word of God.

We also saw that there is a possibility of any kind of calamity happening to anyone at any time, but if we repent, we will be saved from such disasters.
